Illegal Immigrants Victim Broken Ship 48 People


Around 48 people died after a refugee boat accident off the coast of Australia last week.

"We probably will not know the exact number. However, the information that came to me today, about 90 people were on board," said Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard on Monday (20/12/2010).

"This means we still can not find about 18 other people," he said.

The bodies of 30 Iranian Kurdish refugees, and Iraq has been found following the ill-fated ship collision on Wednesday in the Christmas Islands. The other 42 people survived.

Tension has overflowed into demonstrations in detention centers across the island on Friday. The lawyers said the victim survived the crash the ship, including three children who become orphaned by the disaster, has been separated from other prisoners.
